PRAISE THE LORD ALL YOU PEOPLE

This scripture means that everybody must praise the Lord. What is praise? Praise is the glorification given to God by man. You know what to glorify Him for, first of all that He allowed you to read this message, meaning that He allowed you to take another breath, that’s a privilege, that’s the first point of praise. Praise the Lord all you nations, means that in every language, race must give Him praise in any form

The Israelites used Psalms to praise and worship the Lord in their meetings and probably at their homes, meaning that this Psalm (Psalm117) is based on a musical background, meaning all the nations and people of all the earth, play music that will praise Him, meaning every genre of music must be to praise Him, may it be house, rap, drum&bass, jazz…etc.. all the genres were made to praise Him. God is the only Creator, and He revealed His Majesty and Creativity when He created 6.8 Billion people on the earth each of His own uniqueness, knowing each and every hair on their heads. Since we are not the same, He created different things according to the likes of His children but all these things are created to the common factor and that is to give Him glory, e.g.: some like break dancing, ballroom, Zulu dancing..etc. but it all works out to praise the Lord (Romans8:28). Therefore no one should ever criticize anyone’s work, as long as that work/entertainment is done to praise the Lord. If I like jazz, I’ll listen to Jonathan Butler who is a great gospel jazz musician…God has created him to praise Him in that form of genre and created me to love that genre so that I support his praising the Lord.

This also means that Satan himself , will like to copy that because he likes to copy the things of God and try to use them to his advantage. This is found in Daniel3 where the king gives an order to worship his statue instead of God. He made a law that when music is played everyone must bow down to his statue, therefore this meant that when prior to that music was played and people worshiped God, as it was their custom. This still carries on to this day, some music is played to worship/praise the devil and other is played to worship/praise the Almighty God. But God gave us the ability to only make music to praise Him, but men have chosen to receive influence from Satan and compose music that praises Satan.

This range is a declaration to the whole world to

Walk on Stormy Waters

Matthew 14:26-33

26 When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. "It's a ghost," they said, and cried out in fear.

27 But Jesus immediately said to them: "Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid."

28 "Lord, if it's you," Peter replied, "tell me to come to you on the water."
29 "Come," he said.

Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, "Lord, save me!"

31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. "You of little faith," he said, "why did you doubt?"

32 And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. 33Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, "Truly you are the Son of God."

Jesus walks on the stormy waters and He tells Peter to come join Him on the water.Peter is able to take a few steps and then he shifts his focus from Christ to the stormy waters and begins to sink. After crying out to Christ for help he gets rescued and is asked "why did you doubt?"

To me this is like everyday life challenges. We tend to be more like Peter, and we are only able to walk a few steps before we sink in these challenges, only to be asked by Christ "why did you doubt?"
Now do you think that if Peter had focused on Christ, would he have sank? i doubt it. So when the troubles come my friend be like Christ bcause we are born again and washed by His Blood, to be able to overcome challenges and walk on water, trample over snakes and scorpions (luke 10:19
19 I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you). Therefore we are to use our authority given by Christ to bend circomstances and let them bow down to the name of Jesus, for Christ is in us and we are in Christ.

So friend i encourage you to walk on stormy waters because you have the authority to do so.

D.C.C. in D.U.T. 10 May2008

It was another door of ministry opened for the Durban Christian Center youth in Durban University of Technology. In Durban University of Technology (D.U.T.) team of future leaders had a mentorship program presentation, basically the program is aimed at the first year learners who are fresh from high school, not used to the environment of tertiary education. This program helps them settle and focus on their studies. There were many testimonies of those who went through the program, many are now entrepreneurs and are very successful in life.

It was a privilege that we (DCC youth) sat in this presentation because even though many of didn't belong to the school, but the speeches and the education was filling and something that I still carry with me. It was pleasing to us (DCC youth) that many of the speakers always made a point to refer everything to God, in fact the MC said:"You cannot do things alone, you need help from God" and you could imagine the "AMEN!!!" that came from the 'saved ones'. Little did he (MC) knew that he was actually speaking John15:5 "...you can do nothing without Me"

We (DCC youth) had to close the show!!! The DCC youth dancers, did a HOT step to the beautiful song from Yolanda Adams "I Believe", IT WAS ON FIRE. The song alone brought many memories but the dance was so fresh that it made the song sound all new again, it was a pleasant site to see the Spirit of God moving in dance, people were actually excited and touched be the Spirit of God, I believe the it was the Spirit of God who revealed to them the joy of the dance, that they applauded along with the dance....

DCC youth drama department, did a hot relevant masterpiece. This drama touched the people's heart (but obviously it was the Lord touching the hearts) in such a sense that the people caught onto it and enjoyed. I won’t even mention the song, that Drama closed the drama with, there were no mics but there was a beat...still the people could perfectly hear the lyrics and even singing the hooks, it was on FIRE!!! the hook was: " Turn back from the devil, turn back!!!" The presence of the Lord just filled the place and the Holy Spirit entertained the people of God, He just convicted the souls and yes it was a wonderful time...Proverbs16:1-"The reflections of the heart belong to man, but the answer of the tongue is from the Lord" . with that promise, we just went there and reflected our hearts, just did what was in our hearts (Christ), then the Lord took care of the response of the people, and my word He did take care. after the performance/ministering, our youth leader invited people to Christ, and two were saved, our (DCC youth) hearts were beating in rejoice to see people come to Christ. We fellowshipped and ate together, I meet new friends and welcomed them to church on the Sunday, it was a beautiful site. You can catch Durban Christian Centre youth every Friday and 6pm, in South Africa Durban...
